Where My Heart Is

Most Commented

After hearing about Instagram in 2011 and how easy they made it to publish fotos online, I felt that it was something I should try. The following year I finally bought my first iPhone (4) and immediately created an Instagram profile. I remember receiving those first few likes and being a bit too happy. And every once in a while, I would receive a comment or two. Somehow, someway, something I created connected a bit deeper for those Igers. For any photographer or artist, the ultimate goal is creating something that brings out the audience’s emotions. And because the person took her or his time to make a comment on my work, I felt the least I can do is to thank them. Fast forward to 2014 and approaching 400 postings, I am still surprised and appreciative whenever I receive feedback about my work.

The foto, “Where My Heart Is”, is one of my earliest and most favorite fotos. When I took this foto, it was because I thought a few palm trees set against a beautiful blushing twilight sky looked beautiful. It was not until weeks later when I went through my foto archive that I noticed the shape the palm trees took. This foto captures exactly how I feel about the beach and why I visit it so often. It also has connected with Igers as it is one of my hightest commented fotos. View this gallery and find out which other fotos connected the most with the Instagram audience.
